Types of PEB Buildings

 

Further to my earlier blog on Things to consider before you decide your PEB factory or Godown, this blog will give you a clear picture on what type of  PEB you need to construct, instead of just blindly going as per the suggestion of your PEB manufacturer. 

There are many types of PEB Buildings. 

1. CS Building - Means Clear Span Building

This types of buildings are used for Industrial Units. Here you get the full space without any column in between. The end to end width of this type of buildings will be maximum 100 meters. 

2. SS Building - Means Single Slope Building 

This building is typically used, where the use need one side slop. In some places there will be issues in providing both side drainage and down take pipe for taking rain water to drainage will be only at one place.  In that situation, this type  of building is used.  But the end to end width of these type of building will be only 50 meter. 

3. MS -1 - Multi Span Building 1

In Multi span -1 Building, you can have end to end width of 150 meter by adding one column in between. We call this as MS 1 because, we have one calumn in between. 

4. MS - 2 Building - Multi Span 2 

Here, you will have 2 columns. And the end to end width will be 200 Meter. 

5. MS - 3  Multi Span 3

Here, you will have 3 columns and you will have end to end width of more than 200 meters. 

6. Built up curved Rafter. 

This will be in arch type, so we call this as build up curved rafter.  The maximum end to end width will be 100 meter. This is like clear span. 

7. MG 1 - Multi Gable 1

Here, you will have 1 column in between, but in each bay, you will have 1 Ridge Line on the centre. 

8. Lean To Building'

If there is a wall in one side already, or some building is there or some old structure is there, and we want to do some extension, then this type of building is constructed. Here, from the one side wall, we will take the rafter and support to column on the other side. The maximum end to end width will be only 25 Meter.
